FULL STACK DEVELOPER

The full stack developer role will be primarily backend focused, but an understanding of front end languages and database design is desirable. This is a new role and the successful applicant will have the opportunity to make it their own.

We're looking for a person with…

  • At least four years' programming experience
  • Excellent programming skills. We currently have a LAMP stack, but this is likely to evolve over time, and this role will have key input into our architecture
  • Good unit testing skills and habits
  • Solid experience developing web and mobile centric APIs
  • Experience in modern web frameworks
  • You should be comfortable hand coding in HTML, JavaScript and CSS
  • Experience with modern front-end libraries such as React or Vue is a bonus
  • Experience adding integrations (think Stripe/Braintree, Active Directory, Slack, Intercom)
  • Experience in using relational databases (Aurora DB, PostgreSQL)
  • Experience with NoSQL databases or hosted platforms such as Firebase is a bonus
  • Eager to dig in and get going with top industry tools and frameworks for building scalable apps
  • A keen appreciation of the factors influencing perceived load times – latency, local storage, data replication, prediction and pre-caching, etc.
